As a mom of two, I am so thankful that I have my mom to turn to for advice or help. Annie (a.k.a., my mom) has many titles – wife, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. But for me, her most important title is Mom. And, like most children, I really don’t know what I would do without her. This amazing lady has taught me so much in life. She can bake like nobody’s business, cook like there is not tomorrow and at the young age of 82, can literally run circles around me. As a mom now myself, I find myself not only looking up to her but wanting to be like her. She is definitely my idol! Mother’s Day is almost here and the perfect time to say thanks for all that she has done for me.

Gardening is one of my mom’s favorite hobbies. I thought it would be fun to thank mom with a Seeds of Love Garden Basket this Mother’s Day. I love to make gift baskets for family and friends filled with all their favorite goodies.

For this Seeds of Love Garden Basket, I stopped at Walmart and shopped the American Greetings “One Stop Shop” display. It was filled with lots of fun basket fillers that my mom will love. I also found some essential gardening items like garden gloves, seeds, and garden tools at Walmart as well.

Assembling this was pretty easy. I found a really neat planter to put all the gifts into. You can also use a large basket too. I lined the planter with tissue paper to give it a more decorated look and then just started filling it up. Have fun with it!
