Strawberry season is almost here on our farm and I am eagerly anticipating that glorious day when we start picking our own. Strawberries are hands down my favorite fruit. I love them and can never get enough of those little red gems, especially when ours are in season. There is nothing like a Jersey Fresh strawberry straight from the field. My only wish is that the season here in New Jersey was longer. In honor of my favorite fruit, I will be sharing with you my favorite “strawberry” recipes over the next few weeks.
I also love smoothies. They are healthy, versatile and quick to make. Add a few simple ingredients into a blender and you have a nourishing treat for breakfast, lunch or any time of the day. Here is my super simple strawberry smoothie recipe. See the recipe below for additional healthy add-in options. What’s your favorite type of smoothie? I’d love to know!
