Hi there! I’m back today with quick and easy tutorial on how to make this p-urty Valentine’s Day Burlap Wreath. I don’t know about you, but my front door looks pretty empty now that Christmas is all packed away. Wreaths are so welcoming and I love hanging a wreath on my front door. I created this pretty little number – just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The best thing about this little craft project is it took me less than 25 minutes to complete! Yep, that’s it. It is really easy too!
Here is a list of materials needed.
Red Silk Roses
1 – Valentine’s Day Decoration of your choice
Step 1: Once you have all your supplies together, begin by securing the end of the burlap to the inner part of the ring with floral wire.
Step 2. Now, weave a piece of burlap up through each of the three spaces of the ring. You are not pulling the burlap all the way through, you are just making loops.
Step 3: When you get to the last space, twist the burlap and begin weaving again in the opposite direction.
Step 4: It takes 2 rolls of burlap to finish an 18″ wreath. When you finish one roll, secure the end of the burlap tightly to the wire ring with a piece of floral wire.Do the same when you finish weaving the second roll.
Step 5: The wreath looks really good plain, but once you add the embellishments, it looks even better! Simply wire your Valentine’s decoration to the side of the wreath. Then, cut pieces of the silk roses and glue sporadically to the top and bottom of the attached decoration.
I love the simplicity of this wreath. It’s versatile too because the decoration can be changed out for practically any season. This would be beautiful for Christmas! You don’t need to be super crafty to complete this project. Have fun with it!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
