Fall is such a fun family time! Pumpkin picking, hay rides, apple picking, the list goes on and on. Have you picked out your pumpkins yet? It isn’t fall without a pumpkin or two (or three) gracing your front porch. We grow a LOT of pumpkins here on our farm, about 35 acres to be exact! I love all the different shapes and sizes. But I have to admit, this farm girl is a horrible pumpkin carver. Whatever I attempt carving-wise, it just never turns out looking like it should. I usually leave that skill to my daughter, Gabrielle.
I do like to create other ways to fancy up my pumpkins. There are so many fun and interesting ways to dress them up without attempting to carve them. Here is one technique that is easy and inexpensive. Make a Festive Flower Pumpkin.
Here is what you need:
1 Medium Sized Pumpkin
3 Silk Flower Bushes (you can also use real flowers too but they won’t last as long)
Nail or Pumpkin Punch
Wire Cutters
I simply took a few bunches of fall-like silk flowers and cut them off the stems.
With a nail or pumpkin punch, I sporadically pierced holes around the pumpkin. Insert silk flowers into each hole and that’s it!
A pretty and easy pumpkin craft that will dress up your pumpkin and look beautiful on your porch.
