Oh yeah, it’s made with Jersey Fresh peaches that we grow here on our farm. I love peaches. Not the hard kind, but the kind in which the juices run all the way down your arms when you take a bite. That’s what I am talking about – sweet Jersey Peaches. Oh my!

Peach Sriracha Barbecue Sauce Tips And Instructions:

Tip 1: Shop at your local farmers market for the freshest peaches of the season. Look for riper peaches too. You know, the kind where the juice is running down your arm. Sometimes, the farmer may have seconds you can purchase for less money. These are just fine to use.

Tip 2: Start by sautéing the onion, chili powder and cumin over medium heat for three minutes. Add those juicy peaches and cook for three minutes more. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for an additional ten minutes. Stir occasionally.

If you like more heat, add more to the sauce. Remove the sauce from the heat and allow to cool. Pour the barbecue sauce in a blender and puree until smooth.

Tip 4: I like to store my Peach Sriracha Barbecue Sauce in these Ball Wide Mouth Canning Jars. You can also use a smaller jar if desired. I store mine by using the water bath canning method. I make a larger batch so I can always have some in my pantry. This sauce will also keep for about a week in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.

  2. I love Jersey peaches 🙂 We go picking berries, peaches and apples while they are in season here at a local farm. We live in Jersey also. This sounds amazingly good. I know I would love it and I think maybe one other in our family would too. But a couple members of our family do not like any spice. Their loss, right?
