Ingredients

  • 1 cup Quaker® Life
  • 1 cup Quaker® Oatmeal Squares
  • 2 cups uncooked oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. On lined baking sheet, spread cereals, oatmeal, wheat germ, and pecan and toast in oven for 15 minutes.
  3. While cereal mixture is toasting, line 11 x 7 baking dish with aluminum foil. Make sure there is enough hanging over sides so you can pick up when cooled. Spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. In medium saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, salt and butter. Cook until butter is melted on medium heat. Add vanilla and turn heat off.
  5. Remove cereal mixture from oven and reduce oven heat to 300 degrees.
  6. In large mixing bowl, combine cereal mixture and liquid and mix until well incorporated.
  7. Spread evenly in the baking dish and press down firmly. Top with chocolate chips.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes at 300 degrees.
  9. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  10. Once cooled. Remove from pan by grabbing the foil. Place on cutting board and cut into 9 bars.
  11. Store bars in an air-tight container.
