Apple Cranberry Crisp

This apple cranberry crisp is the perfect blend of sweet and tart. It's a perfect fall dessert especially when topped with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 6 large apples cored and sliced
  • 1 cup Ocean Spray cranberries
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked oatmeal
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg optional
  • 2 1/2 sticks butter melted

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Spray 11" x 7" pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Core and slice apples
  4. In large bowl, combine apples, cranberries, apple juice and lemon juice.
  5. Pour apple mixture into baking dish.
  6. In medium size bowl, combine uncooked oatmeal, flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg (optional). Pour in melted butter and mix with fork until topping is crumbly.
  7. Spread evenly over top of apple mixture.
  8. Bake 50 minutes or until crisp is bubbly and topping in a nice golden brown.
