Quick and Easy Applesauce

Quick and easy applesauce made with Jersey Fresh apples is easy, healthy and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds of mixed variety apples about 9
  • 1/8 cup sugar optional
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Peel, core and dice 4 pounds of mixed variety apples.
  2. Add to apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon to a medium pot. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes until bubbly. Stir occasionally.
  3. When apples are done cooking, use a potato masher to coarsely mash the apples.
  4. Serve warm or cold.
  5. Applesauce can be kept in refrigerator for up to one week or frozen in air-tight container for 6 months.
