lean ground beef

large cans crushed tomatoes

green pepper
chopped
1-2
jalapeno peppers
finely diced (adjust amount according to heat preference)

medium onion
diced

garlic

chili powder

ground cumin

oregano

cocoa powder

cans of kidney beans
Shredded Cheddar Cheese - for garnish

Canola Oil
Sour Cream - for garnish
Instructions
Heat canola oil in a large dutch oven over medium-high heat.
Saute ground beef and sausage until cooked through. Add onions, peppers, garlic and sautee for 5 more minutes over medium heat.
Add the crushed tomatoes, seasonings and kidney beans. Stir to incorporate. Simmer on low for one hour.
Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream.
