Apple Caramel Walnut Oatmeal

  • 1 cup Quaker® Quick One Minute Oatmeal prepared
  • 1 apple peeled and cut into slices
  • 3 tablespoons cup brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Caramel Syrup for garnish


  1. Prepare one serving of Quaker® Quick One Minute Oatmeal according to package directions. Mix in cinnamon and set aside.
  2. Slice and peel apple.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar and a pinch of salt to balance flavor.
  4. Add apples to the pan and cook five minutes over medium heat until tender. Brown sugar should be melted and caramelized.
  5. Add oatmeal to a serving bowl. Top with apples, walnuts and a drizzle of caramel syrup.
