Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In medium sauce pan, add diced apples, butter, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.

Cook over medium heat for 4-5 minute until apples start to bubble.

Remove from heat and cool.

In large bowl, combine all dry ingredients and whisk to incorporate.

With pastry blender, cut in the cubed butter. Small pea-sized pieces should form.

Scoop out cooked apples, leaving juice in pot, and add yogurt.

Mix just until incorporated.

Turn out onto floured surface and shape into round circle about 1 inch thick.

Divide into 8 equal triangles and place on baking sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Once cooled, mix powdered sugar and caramel syrup together and drizzle over scones.
