In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer cream the butter, sugar and vanilla together.
Add the flour a little at a time until completely incorporated into the butter.

Bake cookies for 18 – 20 minutes at 350 degrees, or until the cookies are lightly browned around the edges. Remove from the oven, and cool on a wire rack.
