DIY Frozen Bath Bombs
Bath bombs are so easy to make at home. These Disney-Inspired DIY Frozen Bath Bombs will help you unwind, relax and enjoy a much-needed spa day at home!
Ok I admit it, we just returned from our Disney Land and Sea adventure and I need another vacation. Anthony and I took Walt Disney World by storm and got a little spoiled too aboard the Disney Wonder. I miss all that pampering. I am still blown away by the Frozen performance we saw aboard the Disney Wonder. I think it is safe to say that I just can’t “Let It Go.” Ok, enough of the corny jokes, but the show and trip was amazing. So much so, that I was inspired to make these DIY Frozen Bath Bombs so I could continue the pampering at home. The only problem is, there is no one to turn down my sheets, bring me room service or serve me dinner.
Winter can be harsh on our skin. So far Elsa (and mother nature) have been kind to us this winter – only two small snow occurrences to date and temperatures slightly above average. It could be worse so I’ll take it. These make ahead bath bombs are the perfect answer to the stresses of the day and the cold winter weather. The Mickey Mouse Bath Bombs I made a few months ago were such a hit, I thought it would be fun to make some more.
DIY Frozen Bath Bombs Supply List
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1 cup baking soda
- 3 tablespoons Epsom salt
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons almond oil
- 3/4 teaspoon water
- 15 – 20 drops of your favorite essential oil (or a combination of two)
- Blue cosmetic or soap colorant (optional) or Cosmetic Grade Matte Colorant
- Silicone Snowflake mold or round bath bomb molds
In a medium bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together. In a small bowl, mix the water, almond oil and essential oil. Slowly whisk the liquid ingredients into the dry. If you pour too quickly, the mixture will fizz all over the place.
Don’t worry, the bath bomb mixture will not be real wet. Firmly press the bath bomb mixture into the silicone mold. Be sure not to press too hard though or you will change the shape of the silicone mold. Let this dry overnight before unmolding.
Now when you are ready to pamper yourself, slip one of these bath bombs into a nice warm bath and relax!
Since I just returned from a Disney Cruise, these would make great Fish Extender Gifts. You can read more about what fish extenders are here if you are not familiar.
