Make Your Own UP Disney Christmas Ornament
Adventure is out there! This Christmas, make your own UP Disney Christmas ornament. This easy craft is perfect for fans of the Disney Pixar movie UP!
Would you think I was crazy if I tell you I was making Christmas ornaments on Halloween? Well, I was. So call me crazy, I was just trying to distract myself from eating all the Halloween candy.
I literally went from making Disney inspired pumpkins earlier in the week to crafting Christmas ornaments on Halloween. Operation candy distraction worked because I created this adorable UP Disney Christmas Ornament that you can make yourself. I love the movie UP.
It is one of my favorites that tugs at my heartstrings every time I watch it. When Carl sent his house sailing through the sky en route to Paradise Falls, attached to all those beautiful balloons, I wanted to go with him. Wait until you see how easy this Christmas ornament is to make.
Disney UP Ornament Supplies
- Round Wood Christmas Ornament
- Colorful Pom Poms
- Twine or String
- Glue Gun
- UP House Clip Art printed out on white cardstock
How To Make An UP Disney Christmas Ornament
After you gather your supplies, flip the wood ornament upside down (pretty clever, huh!). Use the hot glue to stick the pom poms onto the ornament. If your kids are making these, you can definitely use school glue instead. Fill the entire ornament with the pom-poms.
Next, I printed out the UP house onto cardstock. Since the ornament that I used already had a jute hanging string on it, I cut it and glued to the back of the house to represent the strings of the balloon.
The last step is to take a piece of string or jute and make a loop at the top to hang the ornament on the tree. Just glue a piece long enough to the back.
This is so cute, thanks for sharing. Up is my husbands favorite movie. 🙂
