Hosting a party, Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving this year? Try this Bacon Bomb Eggrolls. It’s an easy and delicious appetizer!
Welcome to the season of food. It’s that time of year when we count our blessings, give thanks for all we have and eat in celebration. Food is such a wonderful part of the Thanksgiving season. We all love to gobble until we wobble, don’t we? While turkey, stuffing, and the classic green bean casserole play a big part of my family’s Thanksgiving dinner, the appetizers are equally important at my house. Friends and family are equally important to us this time of year. So whether you are hosting a Thanksgiving, a Friendsgiving or a combination of both, I like to have a variety of dishes to satisfy everyone’s taste. I am getting a little creative this year and serving these Bacon Bomb Eggrolls.
My family loves the classic green bean casserole made with Del Monte® Blue Lake® Cut Green Beans and Campbell’s® Cream of Mushroom Soup. Seriously, no Thanksgiving table should be without it! Let’s focus on the ingredients of this iconic dish. Del Monte® Blue Lake® Cut Green Beans are made from high-quality green beans, delicious and perfect for your holiday table. Campbell’s Soups are full of mouth-watering flavors your guests will love.
Eggroll wrappers and wonton wrappers are staples that I always like to have on hand. They are perfect to use for quick appetizers. To create these Bacon Bomb Eggrolls, I gave the classic green bean casserole recipe a twist by adding a nice portion of bacon and shredded swiss cheese.
After I mix the ingredients, I add a heaping tablespoon of the mixture to the center of an eggroll wrapper. Fold and wrap. Then, seal the edges with a brush of egg white or water. I also brushed the top with olive oil before baking. I like to bake my Bacon Bomb Eggrolls but if you prefer, you can deep fry they way a traditional egg roll is prepared.
These appetizers are the perfect recipe to make for your Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving celebration! I have always said that everything is better with bacon. Guest will get an unexpected but delicious surprise when they bite into these Bacon Bomb Eggrolls. The bits of bacon paired with the swiss cheese and traditional green bean casserole ingredients equal one delicious appetizer.
