DIY Pom Pom Christmas Trees
You can never have enough Christmas trees during the holiday. Add a bit of fun to your holiday decor and make a few of these DIY Pom Pom Christmas Trees.
Let me paint a scenario for you. Christmas break has begun. After a few days of being at home, you hear those dreaded words out of your kid’s mouth, “Mom, I’m bored.” Oh snap! Well, if that scenario does play out, I have a fun craft to keep the kids busy during their winter break. I believe that one can never have enough Christmas trees. I have four decorated ones plus a multitude of others as accent pieces. These DIY Pom Pom Christmas trees are festive, pretty and really easy to make. I have been obsessed with “all things pom pom” lately. They have been so popular in the Christmas decorations I have been seeing this season. I love the look – colorful and eclectic.
You basically need 3 things to create these fun Pom Pom Christmas trees.
- Colorful Pom Poms in different sizes
- Styrofoam Cones (different sizes add dimension)
- Glue Gun with glue sticks
Creating these pom pom trees is pretty straightforward. Once you gather your supplies, start gluing the pom poms on the cone. Start with the smaller pom poms at the top and work your way down with the larger ones. You can usually find a big bag of assorted sizes at the craft store. This is where you can get as creative as you wish. Why not make a red, green and white tree? Or how about a pastel color tree? The color possibilities are endless. I decided I wanted as much color as possible because I love bright and colorful things. If you are super ambitious, you can make your own yarn pom poms. If you head over to my Winnie the Pooh pumpkin post, you can see how to make them.
