Rivers of Light Shines Bright At Animal Kingdom. This nighttime show at Walt Disney World embraces the magic of nature. #DisneySMMC
There is a new show in town and it’s a definite Disney Must-Do! Walt Disney World has announced that Rivers of Light will FINALLY debut at the Animal Kingdom on February 17, 2017, after postponing the anticipated opening for almost a year. When I attended last year’s Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, we were treated to an exclusive peek at some of the components of the show. This special presentation included a special performance, a presentation by Mark Renfrow, Walt Disney Creative Entertainment and a beautiful display of the costumes that would be worn by the performers. The event was unfortunately put on hold.
I just returned (like yesterday) from this year’s Disney Social Media Mom’s Celebration ( I hope you were able to follow along with me on my social media channels). This year, attendees were treated to a special preview of the Rivers of Light show itself. It was simply amazing. Rivers of Light Nighttime Experience embraces the magic of nature with captivating special effects, music and animal folklore. You will get swept away in a timeless show that celebrates the beauty of all living things. With a brilliant fusion of water, sound, and light, it’s quite unlike anything you’ve experienced before! This spirited nighttime show employs a host of magical devices to create an immersive experience that’s unique to anything else on the planet. Don’t forget to add Rivers of Light to your Walt Disney World Must Do List! You can now make FastPass+ Reservations for this amazing show by visiting the Walt Disney World website.

Here are some other Disney planning posts to help you make your visit more magical.
Disclosure: I was invited by Disney to attend the 2017 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration Land & Sea at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and aboard the Disney Cruise Line Wonder. I did pay a modest conference free to attend. I was not asked to write this post by Disney. As always, opinions 100% are my own.
