Have the Best Day Ever by creating your own DIY Rapunzel Tangled Hair Don’t Care Shirt to wear. This easy tutorial is the perfect way to show your Disney Side!
Are you ready for the Best Day Ever!? Not sure if I have ever really proclaimed this or not but Rapunzel is my FAVORITE Disney Princess! She’s witty, she’s smart and she carries a frying pan. What’s not to love about this long-locked gal? She is the one princess I always make time to visit while at Walt Disney World. And yes, this big kid really does visit the characters as often as I can while there. Today I am sharing a fun Rapunzel Tangled Hair Don’t Care Shirt tutorial. Crafting your own shirts at home is a fun way to show your Disney Side.
If you have been following my Instagram stories lately, you saw that I bought myself a new crafting toy – a Cricut Explore Air 2. I am a sucker for anything to celebrate my crafty side. This Rapunzel Tangled Hair Don’t Care Shirt was my first project using my new Cricut and I loved the way it turned out.
Here’s How Make your own Rapunzel Tangled Hair Don’t Care Shirt
- Cricut Explore Air 2
- White Shirt (or any color you choose)
- Tangled Hair Don’t Care Graphic
- Purple Glitter Iron On Vinyl
- Gold Glitter Iron On Vinyl
Step 1: You will first need to download the Tangled Hair Don’t Care .png below.
Step 2: Upload the graphic to the Cricut Design Center. Make sure you select “complex” as the image type. You can either print out the glitter iron-on vinyl as one color or separate the sunburst and print out in gold like I did. To remove the sunburst, click and erase it in the erase window. Then, upload the graphic again and repeat and erase the letters this time.
Step 3: Click continue to add the graphic to the Cricut Design Studio. I adjust the size to 8 1/2 inches to fit on an adult size shirt.
Step 4: When you adjust to the size you want, select “make it” in the top right corner. This will bring to the cut screen. Make sure you select “mirror” so the image prints reversed. Load your glitter iron on vinyl and follow the prompts on the Cricut to print. Make sure to turn the dial to “iron on” before printing.
Step 5: Weed out the excess vinyl and position the iron on how you want it to appear on the shirt. Use a hot iron with no steam to press the image. Work in sections so the iron on adheres properly. Repeat if you are using a gold sunburst.
This is how the finish project looks.
….and this is how I look channeling my inner Rapunzel.
