Even though Thanksgiving is not quite here yet, I am in full holiday mode. Not that I am trying to rush anything, I just absolutely love both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The halls at my home are in the process of being decked so I can enjoy every second of the Christmas season starting on Thanksgiving day.

The holidays in our family is all about visiting, entertaining and spreading lots of yuletide cheer. It’s holiday moments like these that I always treasure. Whenever I visit family or friends during the season, I never like to go empty-handed. Sometimes even the simplest gift, like this Yuletide Greetings Hostess Gift, can brighten someone’s day.

Because we do a lot of entertaining during the holiday season, I turn to Costco for my shopping needs. I like to stock up and take advantage of their pantry and household items so I don’t run out. I am a fan of a well-stocked pantry. Stocking up at Costco assures me that I will always have what I need on hand for that special recipe or household chore.

It seems like I am always in the kitchen, especially during the holidays, and that’s ok since it’s my happy place. Whether I am baking Christmas cookies or preparing food or cleaning up after company,  Costco products that I always rely on are Dawn Platinum Advanced Power, Cascade Action Pacs, Complete and Febreze Air Effects.

These products can be found in the aisle with the cleaning products at your local Costco. I was also able to purchase some of the other supplies I needed there to complete this hostess gift.

Since I am in the kitchen a lot, I need to have products like Dawn Platinum Advanced Power, Cascade Action Pacs, Complete to get all of my dishes, from the kitchen prep and actual dinner, clean. Whether I am washing them by hand or in the dishwasher, Dawn Platinum Advanced Power and Cascade Action Pacs, Complete are two products to get my dishes clean and help clean up the mess. I also hate when my house smells like food so Febreze Air Effects does the trick to make my house smell welcoming. The Febreze holiday scents smell so festive.

This Yuletide Greetings Hostess Gift is so simple to create. As I said before, it is a much appreciated gift give to the hostess during the holiday season. Here is what you will need to make your own.

• Christmas Dish
• Oven Mitt
• Kitchen Utensils
• A Box of Candy
• 2 Hand-stamped dish towels (get the how-to below)
• Nice holiday ribbon

For this project, I hand-stamped some flour sack towels. I love giving gifts with a personal touch. Hand-stamping is really simple. To make your own hand-stamped towels, you will need the following:

• Flour Sack Towels
• Textile Medium Acrylic Paint
• Red Acrylic Paint
• Decorative Stamp
• Paint Brushes
• Plastic Dish to mix paint

Begin by mixing the textile medium and paint together according to the instructions on the bottle. It is usually one part textile medium to two parts paint.

Spread the paint evenly over the stamp and press down evenly on the towel.

This is where you can let your creativity shine. You can either stamp in a straight line or a random pattern. It’s up to you! When you are all finished stamping, allow the paint to dry completely. Press the towel with a medium heat iron to set the paint.

Once the towels are dry and pressed, you can assemble the gift. Use the plate as the base and then start building. I placed the oven mitt (filled with the utensils) on top of the plate. I then added the candy and towels. Use your imagination and creativity. There is no exact science to putting this together. Just do what you think looks good. Add a nice holiday bow to tie it all together and you got yourself one really nice, and relatively inexpensive hostess gift.
