[Ad] #OktoberOnTheFarm msg 4 21+Fall is in the air and I am celebrating all its goodness today. We’re celebrating Oktoberfest by inviting a group of close friends over to enjoy some Beer-Braised Kielbasa With Harvest Vegetables. This hearty dish is made with Hillshire Farm® Polska Kielbasa. For those of you not familiar, Oktoberfest is traditional German autumn festival held in Munich, Germany, every October that features beer-drinking and merrymaking.

I’ll be honest, I have not ONE ounce of German in my blood, but that doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate this festive fall celebration! In fact, I love to find lots of reasons to celebrate with family and friends and Oktoberfest is one of them! My Beer-Braised Kielbasa With Harvest Vegetables is very easy to make. It can also be cooked on the grill (like I did) or in the oven too.

Beer Braised KielbasaI am also celebrating #OktoberOnTheFarm. Since I live on a large 700 fruit and vegetable farm, I am so fortunate to surrounded by our wonderful home-grown fruits and vegetables. I made sure I added a lot of the delicious harvest vegetables (like apples, brussels sprouts, yams and cauliflower) that we grow. All these flavors melded together to create one delicious Oktoberfest recipe.

Hillsire Farms Polska Kielbasa 1The Hillshire Farm® Polska Kielbasa takes center stage in this recipe. This may sound odd, but kielbasa has been a part of my life since a young age. Chalk it up to my mom’s eastern European roots, kielbasa always makes an appearance in some way at any holiday celebration.

Hillsire Farms Polska KielbasaDid I mention the simplicity of this dish? I think I did but I am going to mention it once again…..this dish is so simple to make. Slice one package of Hillshire Farm® Polska Kielbasa. Add it to a disposable aluminum pan along with the chopped vegetables and season accordingly.

Beer Braised Kielbasa - GrillNow it’s time to head outside to cook this Beer-Braised Kielbasa With Harvest Vegetables the grill. Pour about six ounces of your favorite beer over the kielbasa and vegetables and let the grill do the work. I’m an all-season griller but if you are a fair-weathered friend and hate the cold, just pop in in a 400 degree oven for about 45 minutes.
