Disney Accordion Tree Ornaments
Add a magical touch to your Christmas tree with this easy Disney Accordion Tree Ornaments craft. Kids will love to create these Disney ornaments.
I must confess! I have been slacking a little in the Disney Craft department this Christmas season. Please accept my apologies. Christmas is just sneaking up quickly. But, I managed to create these adorable Disney Accordion Tree Ornaments. This is the perfect Christmas craft to get the kids involved in. I used the age-old special technique of paper folding. Yes, paper folding. I have many memories of making accordion fans when I was young. I lived in a house without air conditioning so I had to keep cool some way.
The brainstorm behind these ornaments came from the pads and pads of Mickey Mouse and Disney scrapbook paper that was sitting in my craft bin. Don’t ask me why I have so much Disney paper, I just had to have it when I saw it at the craft store. So now I was able to put it to good use and add to my Homemade Christmas Ornament collection here. This is the perfect kids craft, (minus using the hot glue gun). The fun thing about this craft is you can use any type of Disney scrapbook paper they like. Have a Disney princess fan? Then, grab some Disney Princess paper and start crafting.
Disney Accordion Tree Ornaments Supply List
- Disney Scrapbook Paper
- Washi Tape
- Mickey Mouse Buttons
- Large Colorful Buttons
- Colored Popsicle Sticks
- Glue Dots
- Hole Punch
- Glue Gun
- Thin Colorful Ribbon
First, you need to cut the paper into rectangles of different sizes. Add colorful washi tape to the front side of the paper and fold like an accordion. Then, flip the tree over and glue a colored popsicle stick to the center to make the trunk.
Pinch the top of the tree together and punch a hole in the center with your hole punch. String the ribbon through and tie so you can hang the ornament on the tree.
The last step is to add a glue dot to the center of a large button. Place the Mickey Mouse button in the center to make the star. Add some hot glue to the back and place at the top of the tree.
Totes Adorbs! Now go for and make magical. I want to see these hanging on your tree this year.
