Your kids will really “dig” this DIY Kids Gardening Caddy. It’s perfect for carrying their gardening tools. It makes a great gift idea.

Living and working on our family farm has taught me one thing – you are never too young to work. Both our kids started helping out at a young age with basic farm chores and working in our farm market. Farming builds character. It teaches them responsibility and how to work hard. The same goes for gardening. Gardening, like farming, teaches responsibility and the art of getting dirty. I have often said the best way to let your kids get dirty is to let them plant a garden. This DIY Kids Gardening Caddy will help them out in the yard. It’s perfect for carrying all their special tools.

I created this caddy for only $20. What would I do without the Dollar Spot at Target! Seriously. This is so cute and simple to put together. It makes a great gift idea too. I even gave this DIY Kids Gardening Caddy a Disney Frozen theme by adding ‘Let It Grow’ to the side. Imagine that – another Disney-themed post from Melissa. How many of you are now singing? You’re welcome (oh wait, that’s from Moana – LOL).

If you want to make this garden caddy exactly like I did, then you will need a Silhouette machine to cut out the vinyl ‘Let It Grow’ lettering. If you don’t have one, ask around. Maybe one of your friends does. If not, no worries. You can either letter by hand or leave the caddy blank. You can grab the ‘Let It Grow’ cut file here.

Here are some things you can fill this DIY Kids Gardening Caddy with:

  • Kid-Size Garden Gloves
  • Kids Garden Tools
  • Flower Seeds
  • Vegetable Seeds
  • You can even give them a small watering can too.
