Cinco de Mayo meet an excess of empty toilet paper rolls. You remember stocking up on all that toilet paper recently, don’t you? I hope you are all safe and well. This staying home to flatten the curve has been challenging for all of us. But I have to say, I like the simpler life as a result.

Empty toilet paper rolls

Ribbon

Rainbow Tissue paper

Candy

Glue

How Do I Make Toilet Paper Roll Pinatas Craft?

Step 1

Extra toilet paper rolls in the house? I bet! These DIY Toilet Paper Roll Pinatas are a fun kid's craft to make for your next Cinco de May fiesta.Attach a short piece of ribbon to the inside of the toilet paper tube. Drape the ribbon over the top of the tube and attach a small square of tissue paper over the top of the ribbon. Secure in place with glue.

Fill the tube with candy and glue another small square of tissue paper to the top of the tube. Cut 2-inch strips of tissue paper in various colors. Use scissors to cut small strips in each piece of tissue paper, cutting to the middle of each strip.

To open the pinata, pull the string along the bottom of the pinata until the tissue paper on the bottom breaks.

Materials

  • Empty toilet paper rolls
  • Ribbon
  • Tissue paper
  • Candy
  • Glue

Instructions

  1. Attach a short piece of ribbon to the inside of the toilet paper tube. Drape the ribbon over the top of the tube and attach a small square of tissue paper over the top of the ribbon. Secure in place with glue.
