Looking for a fun craft idea to keep the kids busy at your July Fourth Celebration? This Patriotic Party Slime makes the perfect party favor.
I have become quite obsessed lately with all the fun slime creations you can make. Seriously, you can make a themed slime for any holiday or special occasion. It is just plain fun! Remember the Pirate’s Booty Slime and Disney Princess Slime I recently shared? They have been a big hit on Pinterest. So naturally, my wheels were turning thinking of what kind of slime I can create next.
Since the Fourth of July is just one day away, why not make some fun Patriotic Party Slime. If you are hosting an Independence Day celebration, this is a fun craft to keep the kids busy. It stores perfectly in the clear condiment containers so they can take it home as a party favor. If you are not crazy about the combination of kids, glue, and glitter at your home, make a batch ahead of time and have it all ready before the party starts.
Here is what you need for this Patriotic Party Slime:
- 1 cup Clear Elmer’s Glue
- 1/4 cup – 1/3 cup Liquid Starch
- Red Fine Glitter
- White Chunky Glitter
- Red & Blue Star Confetti
- Clear Condiment Containers
- Star Buttons (do decorate container lids)
Add the glue, glitters, and stars to a glass bowl and mix together. Slowly stir in the liquid starch 1 tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency. The more starch you add, the harder the slime will be.
Once the slime is a perfect consistency, divide evenly amongst the small condiment cups.
These condiment containers are the perfect way to store the slime. I decorated the lids with these fun patriotic buttons that I found in my craft stash.
This Patriotic Party Slime with be the hit of your star-spangled celebration. It will keep the kids busy for hours. It’s a great take home party favor too.
