I am sure by now, y’all know how much I love container gardening. I am jumping for joy that spring has sprung and I can get outside, enjoy some Vitamin D (with sunscreen on of course) and start working on cleaning up our yard and gardens. While we have a huge yard, I find that planting a lot of flower pots in assorted sizes is much more manageable.

Container gardening is the perfect solution for those who don’t have a lot of time to garden, those that have very little space to garden and those that are intimidated by gardening. Begin by filling up the 12″ pot about three-quarters of the way full with potting soil. Fill the smaller pot with stones and place in the center. It should be almost even with the rim of the larger pot. You many need to adjust the soil.

Spread the Million Bells evenly around the perimeter of the pot. Gently press down and add more soil to fill in any gaps. Give the plants a nice dose of water.
