Fun Treats: Dipped Ice Cream Cones
I scream! You scream! We all scream for an ice cream cone made with these fun Dipped Ice Cream Cones! Scoop up some fun with the holiday-themed treats!
I can never get enough of cute treats. I love when you add a little bit of fun to food. These Dipped Ice Cream Cones are perfect for any season. Yes, it is winter here in New Jersey, but my family loves ice cream any time of the year. Why not add a little fun to your ice cream repertoire by making these easy Dipped Ice Cream Cones.
These Dipped Ice Cream Cones can’t be any simpler to make. All you need is three ingredients – melting wafers, sugar cones and colorful jimmies (yes, in Jersey we refer to these as jimmies and not sprinkles). That’s it. Since I am in Valentine’s Day mode here on the blog, I used colorful pink, red and purple jimmies to give them a Valentine’s theme. Of course, if you don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day or want to make these another time of the year, just change up the jimmies. The possibilities are endless with these fun treats.
Are you ready for the million steps involved in making these Dipped Ice Cream Cones? Pay close attention so I don’t lose you. Melt your chocolate wafers in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time. Stir after each. It should take about a minute and a half to melt a bag. Then, dip the top of the cones into the melted chocolate. Pour some jimmies in a separate bowl and dip the cone that you just dipped in the chocolate into the jimmies. Ok, maybe that wasn’t so complicated after all. Nah – that was EASY Peasy!
These are also great to fill with candy too. They would make a great display for a party! You can display them in a glass filled with candy just like I did. Have fun creating your own colorful Dipped Ice Cream Cones!
