Cruising in the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SEL
Thank you Mitsubishi for allowing me to drive a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SEL for one week. Opinions are 100% my own. #DriveMitsubishi
This past week, I got to do something really fun for The Farm Girl Gabs. Thanks to Mitsubishi I was able to test drive the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SEL for the week. Like most moms, I go in a million directions at once. Even though our oldest, Gabrielle, is in college, I still have to shuffle AJ back and forth to his many high school activities. Add work at our family farm into the mix and things can get a little crazy. I am happy to say that the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SEL lived up to the task of mom-life, carpooling and running errands.
This subcompact 4 door all-wheel drive crossover has a 168 horsepower, 2.4-litre engine. The gas mileage is great. I averaged 22 mpg around town and 27 mpg on the highway. This vehicle is also equipped with All-Wheel control. Whether you’re driving on snow or gravel, All-Wheel-Control helps to keep you on track.
The Outlander Sport SEL seats 5. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of room in the car. I am short so I fit perfectly in a smaller vehicle like the Outlander. Anthony and AJ are tall and we were impressed that they both fit comfortably in the car.
The Outlander Sport SEL has a nice amount of cargo storage too. With 60/40 rear fold flat seating, I had plenty of room to store my weekly grocery haul.
The Outlander Sport is available in five models. Pricing for the basic ES 2.o starts at $19,795. The SEL 2.4 model which I test drove is priced at $25,695.
My Favorite Features of the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SEL:
- 6.1-inch touchscreen audio display with Digital HD Radio® and rearview camera
- FAST-key passive entry system with panic feature and One-touch Start/Stop engine switch
- 7 standard airbags including driver’s knee airbag
- Rain-sensing windshield wipers
- 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels
Whether you are running errands, shuffling the kids here and there, or going on a grand adventure, the Outlander Sport is up for the challenge. It’s rugged, roomy and definitely reliable for getting you and your family where you have to go.
