Unicorn Christmas Ornament
This magical Unicorn Christmas Ornament is an easy DIY ornament to make for your Christmas tree this year! Kids will enjoy making this homemade ornament. This fun glittered unicorn Christmas ornament is made with clay, felt, and glitter.
You may not know this, mainly because I don’t think I ever expressed this out loud but I love unicorns. These cute mythical creatures are popping up everywhere across the internet – from crafts to shirts. Because remember, always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn, then be a unicorn.
So I thought it only fitting since I have been in full “Christmas tutorial” preparation behind the scenes here at The Farm Girl Gabs to share this Unicorn Christmas Ornament with you. It’s super simple and oh so adorable! Really! Isn’t she cute!!
Supplies To Make A Unicorn Christmas Ornament:
- 1 clear plastic fillable ornament
- Glitter It!
- Extra Fine Glitter (I used white but any pastel color will work)
- White stiff felt
- Pink stiff felt
- White & Purple Clay
- Small Flowers
- Gold Sharpie
- Glue Gun
How To Make A DIY Unicorn Christmas Ornament
Remove the metal cap from the ornament. Squirt in some of the Glitter it! Swirl slowly around to coat the entire inside of the ornament. Drain any excess into a plastic cup. Sprinkle the glitter and swirl around to coat inside. Pour any excess glitter into a cup.
Shape the horn by twisting the two clay colors together. The horn should be thinner on the top and thicker on the bottom. It should be about one inch long so it is in proportion to the ornament. Bake according to package instructions.
Now it’s time to start gluing. Cut out her ears, making the white felt a little bigger than the pink. Glue onto the ornament. Center her horn and then glue on the flowers around it.
The last step is to use the gold sharpie to make her eyes and lashes. I am in love! She turned out adorable. Can’t wait to hang her on the tree this year! Remember – when all else fails, be a unicorn.

Question! Did you use hot glue for the clay to plastic ornament? I saw that referenced on the list, but then see a bottle of glue in the pic. Just wanted to be sure!
