The holidays are here. It’s time to break out your craft supplies and make some of these Buffalo Plaid Embroidery Hoop Ornaments. As you know, I love the farmhouse style. So I jump on anything farmhouse-style every chance I get.

I love to make my own DIY Christmas Ornaments. You can find all of my Christmas ornament ideas here. You will need a Cricut Machine to complete this project. Cricut Christmas Ornaments are really fun to make.

Here is how to make these Farmhouse Christmas Ornaments.

Buffalo Plaid Hoop Ornaments feature 3

Supplies Needed To Make Embroidery Hoop Christmas Ornaments

Small embroidery hoops (I used 4-inch hoops)

Red & Black Plaid flannel fabric

Silver heat transfer vinyl

SVG file (download here)

Twine or ribbon

Scissors

Easy Press Mini or iron

Cricut Machine

Cricut Easy Press

How To Make Buffalo Plaid Hoop Ornaments

Download the SVG file and upload it to Cricut Design Space. Select the file and weld the words together.

Measure the inside of the embroidery hoop and resize the cut file to fit inside the hoop. Hit the Make It button and check the mirror option. Send the design to your Cricut.

Cut a piece of flannel fabric to fit inside the embroidery hoop.

Weed out the extra HTV from around the design and place it in the center of the piece of flannel fabric. Use the Easy Press Mini or iron to transfer the vinyl to the fabric.

Allow the vinyl to cool, then place the fabric inside the embroidery hoop. Create a loop with the twine around the top of the embroidery hoop. Secure the twine with a bow.

Materials

Instructions

  1. Download the SVG file and upload it to Design Space.
