A Guide to Disney’s Beach Club Resort

When I received my coveted invitation to the 2015 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, I was beyond excited. When I found out that I would be staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, I did the happy dance.
My family and I have visited the Walt Disney World Resort many, many times. Throughout the years, we have stayed at several of the Disney Moderate and Value Resorts, but NEVER have had the opportunity to stay at a DELUXE resort! Talk about the royal treatment provided by Disney to the conference attendees.
I have always liked visiting The Beach Club but to be a guest here was a real treat. It felt like home. The resort itself reminds me of my beloved Jersey Shore. Specifically, it’s reminiscent of Cape May, a quaint little town at the Jersey Shore.

The rooms at Disney’s Beach Club Resort are currently undergoing a major renovation. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the newly remodeled rooms. The rooms have a modern coastal feel, with beachy green-blue tones and mother of pearl accents. They are really beautiful and spacious. They can comfortably sleep up to five guests. My room also had a beautiful balcony (which I failed to take a picture of, my bad).

Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts also boasts one of the coolest pools of all the Disney resorts – Stormalong Bay. This pool comes complete with a life-size shipwreck with water slides, a sand-bottom pool and a lazy river. It’s a water-lovers paradise. There are also several more quiet pools located on the property.
More benefits of staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort:
♦ Do you like ice cream as much as I do? Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, home to the infamous Kitchen Sink Sundae, is located on property between the Beach Club & Yacht Club.
♦ The Cape May Cafe has a really delicious seafood buffet AND a really fun character breakfast. Be sure to make reservations first.
♦ Every Disney resort shows a Disney movie under the stars each night. The movie under the stars at the Beach Club is on the beach. How fun is that! It is a really nice way to unwind with the family after a long day in the parks.
♦ Take a stroll around the Boardwalk. It not only great exercise but there are a lot of great restaurants and things to do. I love Jellyrolls – a lively dueling piano bar for guests over 21.
♦ Hit the full service gym before or after visiting the parks.

Disclosure: I was invited by Disney to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. I did pay a modest conference free to attend and received some pretty cool swag too. I was not asked to write this post by Disney. As always, opinions 100% are my own.
