This colorful Summer Cocktail Container Garden was inspired by my recent visit to the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival in Walt Disney World. You too can create your own colorful container flower garden at home.

It’s no secret that I love my flower pots. I plant A LOT of pots for my yard and pool area. They are easy to care for, colorful and can be moved around if needed. This Summer Cocktail Container Garden makes me happy. It’s bright, fun and a mix of all different sun-loving plants that all compliment each other. Kinda like a summer cocktail.

Lady & Tramp - EpcotI’m fresh off Disney Social Media Moms Celebration and was lucky once again to visit Walt Disney World during the Epcot International Flower Garden Festival. It is my absolute FAVORITE time to visit Walt Disney World.

My Summer Cocktail Container Garden was inspired by all the beautiful planted pots I saw not only throughout Epcot but also at the resorts as well. I returned from the conference with not only lots of insight into the blogging world but made sure I took in all the festival had to offer while visiting. From majestic Disney character topiaries, to delicious foods from many different countries, to the beautiful flower gardens and planters. The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival has it all. If you love to visit the Walt Disney World Resort and have not visited during the festival, I highly recommend it!

These flower combinations are perfect for a full sun environment. If you have a shady area, substitute plants that like more shade, like begonias and impatiens. All of these supplies listed above are easily available at your local garden center. If you can find the exact flowers listed, check the plant tag to find a comparable substitute. Have fun with it!

Plant the angelonia or whatever taller plant you choose in the center and then work your way out. The calibrachoa and sweet potato vine should be along the edge of the planter.

Be sure to water your Summer Cocktail Container Garden when you are all finished. Fertilize every couple week with some Miracle-Gro Bloom Booster Flower Food. This is such an easy garden project. It is something that you will enjoy well into fall because the flowers planted are so hardy and easy to care for.

Happy Gardening!

Disclosure: I was invited by Disney to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. I did pay a modest conference free to attend and received some pretty cool swag too. I was not asked to write this post by Disney. As always, opinions 100% are my own.
