Disney Countdown Chalkboard

I’m counting down to my next Walt Disney World Vacation with this simple Disney Countdown Chalkboard.

Chances are, if you are an avid Disney fan, you start counting the days until your next Disney vacation – before your current Walt Disney World vacation is over. Yes, as the sadness looms towards the end of my Disney vacation, I always start planning when I will be able to come back “home” again. I am excited that my next trip to Walt Disney World is right around the corner. I will once again be attending the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration from May 5-8th and can’t wait to share all those fun details with you.

I am like a kid at Christmas when it comes to counting down the days until my next Disney vacation. This simple Disney Countdown Chalkboard is a fun way to get the whole family excited.

You will need only a few supplies for this project. Yep, it’s that simple!

Plastic Charger Plate (You can usually find them for around $3.00 at the craft store)

Chalkboard Paint

Red Spray Paint (Optional – You may be able to find a red charger plate at the store)

Glue Gun

Large White Buttons

Paint Brush

White Chalk

Optional: Silhouette Cameo

Optional: Silhouette White Vinyl

Optional: “Days To Disney Cut File” (you can grab it right here!)

Once you have your supplies together, you will need to paint your charger with a few coats of the red paint. If you found a charger at the craft store that is already red, you get to skip this step. Once your red paint is dry, apply the chalkboard paint to the inner circle. Give it a few coats and allow to dry.

I used my Silhouette to create the “days until Disney” decal. This part is totally optional. If you don’t have one, maybe one of your friends does. Just grab the cut file here, print out on white vinyl and position it on the plate.

I am obsessed with chalkboards and chalkboard lettering (although I am not very good at it). I had some guidance from this cool book called The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering. It’s a great reference and show you step by step details on how to make all that fancy-schmancy chalkboard lettering.

So yes, soon our next Disney adventure will be here. This Disney Countdown Chalkboard is a fun way to start the countdown with the family. It’s the perfect way to get ready for all the pixie dust. I’m going to see if Tink will let me bring some home this time.
