Like most busy families, I always feel like we are constantly on the go. The holiday season is here and that means even more crazy schedules. Shopping, holiday parties, Christmas concerts….well, you get the picture. We are all BUSY! Between work and the kids hectic schedules, I always try to have nutritious breakfast and snack “grab and go” options available for those busy days.
Easy Banana Bread, made with Original KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Dressing is an easy to make grab and go option for when you are on the run. I got the recipe straight from the KRAFT website. The picture below inspired me to try it myself.
I love the fact that fruit is included, giving everyone an extra serving of bananas. I plan on making a loaf for Christmas morning. With all the excitement in the air on Christmas, the kids don’t want to take time to eat, so knowing this Easy Banana Bread is a quick and nutritious breakfast option gives me peace of mind.
I love the idea of a well stocked pantry. Since I do a lot of cooking and baking, I like to shop at Walmart to purchase my pantry supplies. They always have great prices and selection. This recipe is so simple to make! Don’t be fooled by the Original KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Dressing in the recipe, it doesn’t have to be used as just a condiment for sandwiches. The Original KRAFT MIRACLE WHIP Dressing makes this bread is moist and delicious.
To begin, I combine the dry ingredients together and set aside. I then whisk together the dressing, an egg and the mashed ripe banana. Once it is incorporated, I add the nuts and dry ingredients. Be sure to mix ONLY until incorporated. You don’t want to eat tough bread! Pour in a greased loaf pan and bake for one hour. See, I told you this was EASY!
The bread should be nice and golden brown. I always test it to make sure it is done but inserting a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, then it is finished baking. Doesn’t this look delicious?
Did you know this bread is also perfect to give as holiday gifts? Yep, just bake in a small disposable tin pans. Once it is cooled, wrap in cellophane and tie a pretty holiday ribbon around it. The gift of home-baked goods is a wonderful idea for the Christmas season! I have included the original Easy Banana Bread recipe below, but you can also access it by clicking on this link.
