Who is ready for an easy and fun garden craft today? Have you planted your vegetable garden yet? These Letter Tile Garden Markers are the perfect way to identify what you have growing in your garden. It is also a really fun craft for kids to create.
I am always a strong supporter of making gardening a fun family activity. Why not take it one step further and make these easy-peasy garden markers. Plus, they are made with Scrabble® tiles which is one of my favorite games to play. They are more than just for playing with though, there are a lot of fun crafts that you can create with them.
Supplies Needed for these fun Letter Tile Garden Markers
Begin by spray painting the paint sticks the color of choice. I chose red because I like it – and it’s a nice contrast against the green plants.
I organized the letter tiles by spelling out the words of the vegetables ahead of time. This makes it easier when you start gluing. By doing this, don’t need to search for the letters needed to spell out the vegetable name. Using the glue, I placed a small dab in the center of each tile and place the letter in the center of the paint stick. Continue until you finish spelling the name of the vegetable.
It’s that easy! And fun! This is great activity for kids too. You can have them practice their spelling by lining up the words ahead of time. What are your growing in your garden? Leave me a comment below and let me know. Whatever it is, make sure you get the kids involved to. It’s summer – a great time to be away from the video games and television and enjoying the great outdoors.
