What You Need To Make Fruity Pebbles Milkshakes
If you’re planning to make Fruity Pebble Milkshakes, here are a few tools that will make the process much simpler:
Recommended Equipment:
To make the actual Fruity Pebble Milkshakes, here are the items you’ll need to have on-hand:
Ingredients:
- Strawberry Ice Cream: This is the base of the milkshake. The flavor mixes well with the fruity pebbles.
- Milk: To thin out the ice cream and make it a drinkable shake!
- Fruity Pebbles: Will be both blended into the shake and used for decoration on the glass.
- White Canned Frosting: Used to adhere the fruity pebbles to the rim of the glass.
- Whipped Cream: Is any milkshake really complete without this tasty topping?
- White Chocolate: This is optional, but when it’s drizzled inside the cup, it’s visually appealing when served.
Do I Have to Use Name Brand Cereal?
Not at all! Feel free to use whichever store or name brand you love. The shape of the fruity pebbles is ideal for mixing into the shake and for being lightweight enough to adhere to the rim of the glass, so using a completely different fruity cereal may not work as well.
Can I Make Fruity Pebbles Milkshakes Dairy-Free?
Absolutely! You shouldn’t have much trouble finding dairy-free alternatives for the traditionally dairy ingredients. Strawberry ice cream, milk, and whipped topping will all have to be purchased in a dairy-free option, but the canned frosting may be dairy-free already!
Just check those labels. Some Duncan Hines and Pillsbury options are dairy-free. You should also be able to find some special frosting options that are made dairy free, if you prefer.

What Can I Substitute for Frosting?
If you don’t love frosting or can’t find a dairy-free alternative you love, try marshmallow fluff instead! It’s already dairy-free.
The frosting or fluff will be used to adhere fruity pebbles to the rim of the glass before pouring in the milkshake. It’s a colorful and tasty addition to Fruity Pebble Milkshakes!
Can I Use a Different Flavor of Ice Cream?
Why not? They are called Fruity Pebbles, not strawberry pebbles, so using a different fruit flavor of ice cream could add some variety. Some other options to try could be blueberry, blackberry, cherry, raspberry, or maybe even banana!
You could even get really creative and mix some fruit flavors. Try two scoops of strawberry and one scoop of banana or raspberry and pomegranate or blueberry and lemon! Have fun experimenting with your favorite fruit combinations.
