Everyone deserves a little pampering. I am a huge advocate of self-care. As a busy working mom, I often have to remind myself to take care of me. Often, as most moms do, I put other’s needs ahead of mine. I am a nurturer, so I am always worrying about Anthony and the kids (even though they aren’t kids anymore). It’s just what I do.

The winter months are brutal and the cold weather takes such a toll on our skin. I am embarrassed to say that right this very moment, my skin feels drier than the Mojave desert. Really! So some pampering is in order. In fact, it is long overdue. These DIY Sugar Scrub Cubes are the perfect way to treat yo’self to some much-needed pampering.

I have shared a few sugar scrub recipes and bath bomb recipes here before, like Cinnamon Sugar Scrub, Peppermint Sugar Scrub and Tropical Lip Scrub, and they are a perfect way to pamper yourself. These DIY Sugar Scrub Cubes are too.

What Ingredients Do I Need To Make Sugar Scrub Cubes?

6 cubes of clear glycerin soap base (each cube is approx. 1 oz.)

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup avocado butter

1 cup white sugar

10-20 drops Bergamot Essential Oil

10-20 drops Patchouli Essential Oil

10-20 drops Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

1-2 teaspoons of colored mica powder

Silicone flower mold

I used Ylang Ylang, Bergamot and patchouli essential oils in this recipe. They have powerful benefits when combined. They help you relax, are natural sedatives, relieve stress, lower anxiety and relieve depression. They are great for your skin and are a natural astringent. It's a self-care kind of day.
