What brand of gelatin should I use for these shots?
Any brand will work, whether you decide to use Jello or a generic version of the gelatin. Make sure you’re using grape and lime to have those green and black colors that go with the Halloween theme.
Which spiced rum should I use for the shots?
You can use your favorite brand of spiced rum. If you’re not sure which brand would be good to use, Captain Morgan makes an excellent spiced rum full of flavor.
Can I ditch the grape gelatin and use a different flavor?
If you absolutely can’t stand the taste of grape gelatin, you can replace it with another dark colored option, such as cherry, adding the black food coloring to it to keep it dark. While it may alter the appearance a little bit, you can use what you like to ensure that you’re enjoying these shots.
