Kitchen Essentials Needed

Ham and Cheese Hawaiian Slider Tips & Tricks

  • Use a serrated knife to cleanly cut the rolls in half without smashing them down. Cut them as evenly as possible for uniform sliders.
  • Generously brush the top half of the rolls with the glaze before baking so it seeps down into the crevices and caramelizes.
  • Let the assembled sliders cool for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow the melted swiss cheese filling to set up. This makes them easier to eat.
  • For extra flavor, try adding pineapple slices, crispy bacon, jalapeño peppers, or grilled onions between the ham and cheese layers. Sometimes I like to set these out as extras so people can customize their sliders!
  • Chill the assembled sliders in the refrigerator for up to 6 hours before baking if you want to prep them ahead of time.
  • I like to top my ham sliders with everything bagel seasoning.
  • If you can’t find soft Hawaiian rolls, you can substitute with small dinner rolls instead.
