I am unofficially kicking off the fall season today. It’s been a great summer but I am so ready for cooler weather, fall fun on our farm, FOOTBALL and all the comfort food to warm me up on those crisp fall evenings. It’s a big year for our family. We are empty nesters. AJ is started his first year of college while Gabrielle is continuing Graduate School. While my babies are getting older, they will always be my babies.
So let’s toast all things fall with this Apple Cider Margarita.
I am a margarita fan. I think if a margarita had a fan club, I would be president of it. Hmmm…maybe I should start one. And while the classic is always good, I like to create different flavors of margaritas. Maybe I should just call this the margarita flavor of the month.

How Do I Make An Apple Cider Margarita?
I love a good fall cocktail recipe. This Apple Cider Margarita recipe is my spin on the classic margarita. I used hard cider for a crisp apple flavor. Don’t have hard cider on hand? Fresh pressed apple cider will work well too. You will just need to adjust the tequila and add a little more.
This drink recipe is not overly sweet but if you prefer a sweeter drink, just add a little more simple syrup to the recipe.
How To Make Simple Syrup from Scratch
Speaking of simple syrup…While you can buy simple syrup premade, there is no need to. Save some money and make your own simple syrup for margaritas. It’s really is SIMPLE! Just add equal parts water and sugar to a saucepan. Bring to a slow boil until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool. That’s its. It really is a simple syrup recipe!
How Long Will Simple Syrup Last? How To Store Simple Syrup
Store simple syrup in an airtight container or jar. Simple syrup needs to be stored in the refrigerator and will last up to four weeks.

I am joining your margarita club.
I believe a peach margarita
and a cherry margarita
and a strawberry margarita
would also be good.
Crushed fresh fruit, with a splash of seltzer and the tequila of course.
Cheers.
