Homemade Whoopie Pies Ingredients

Before you can take a fun twist on a classic dessert, you will need to have a few simple ingredients. If you’re interested in preparing Easter Whoopie Pies, be sure to have the following ingredients on hand:

  • French Vanilla Cake Mix – Grab a box of this cake mix. Any brand will do!
  • Egg – Use one large egg with your cake mix.
  • Unsalted Butter – You will need unsalted sweet cream butter for this recipe. If you use the salted kind, it will make your whoopie pies too salty.
  • Easter Sprinkles – Add a special touch with the addition of pastel-colored Easter sprinkles.

Along with these ingredients, you will also need a few ingredients to prepare the sweet and tasty vanilla frosting, including:

  • Sweet Cream Butter – Use the unsalted sweet cream butter, allowing it to sit out and soften before you prepare your frosting.
  • Powdered Sugar – Give your frosting that sweet touch with the addition of powdered sugar.
  • Heavy Whipping Cream – Add two cups of heavy whipping cream to your mixing bowl with the butter and sugar.
  • Pure Vanilla Extract – Add a hint of vanilla flavoring using a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract.
  • Pink Gel Food Coloring – Give your frosting that light pink color with a bit of pink gel food coloring.

With these ingredients, you can make Easter Whoopie Pies in little to no time and have them ready to serve for Easter dessert.
