I believe that summer needs a proper send-off. Even though we still have a few weeks left of summer to enjoy, it kinda feels like it is over since the kids are back to school and that crazy routine has started all over again.
I promise I don’t want to wish summer away but I do love the fall season. Our farm looks like an artist’s finest work during the fall with the beautiful orange, yellow and green hues dotting the fields of our farm. Summer in our home is somewhat low-key.
Farm life is busy, especially during the summer months. While we spend a lot of quality time together (usually working on the farm), we just don’t get to vacation like a normal family. And that is OK. Not many people can say that they help feed America.
How To Make An Orange Crush Cocktail
My dear friend Betsy shared this refreshing Orange Crush recipe with me. She came into our market one day and raved about how great this drink was. She was kind enough to bring me a glass (after we closed). One sip, two sips, three sips, and I was hooked. She was sweet enough to share her recipe with me. Now I am sharing it with you because it is so gooooood!
I am a big fan of orange flavor. This drink has plenty of it with a combination of orange vodka and fresh oranges in the mix. A splash or more of lemon-lime soda adds just the right amount of sweetness to the cocktail. I like a sweeter drink so I added a little more. You can most certainly tailor the sweetness to your preferences.
So as we watch summer sail off into the sunset, toast the fun times and great memories with this Orange Crush Cocktail!

Ingredients
- 2 ounces orange vodka
- 1 ounce triple sec
- Juice of one orange
- Orange slices for garnish
- Lemon Lime Soda
Instructions
Pour vodka and triple sec into a shaker filled with ice. Squeeze the juice of one orange into the drink. Shake well.
Top with lemon-lime soda. Garnish with orange slices.
