Do I have to add cilantro to these tacos?

Not at all. While traditionally served at the restaurant with cilantro on top, you can skip it if you don’t like it. Can I make this recipe using shrimp instead?

Yes! If you’re not a big fan of chicken or don’t have any available, you could use this same recipe to prepare a shrimp version of the classic dish. Chopped pieces of shrimp would taste amazing with the sauce, slaw topping, and cilantro, so it’s definitely worth trying.

How to Store the Wonton Tacos

If you have leftover tacos, wrap them in aluminum foil or place them in an airtight container and store them in the fridge. The best way to reheat them is to put them in the oven for a few minutes or even place them in the air fryer to get the wonton crispy again. If you reheat it in the microwave, the wonton may be soft instead of crisp and crunchy.

Instructions
