2019 Christmas Season Holiday Magic at Walt Disney World
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will once again headline all of the festivities for the Disney World 2019 Christmas season.
Christmastime is going to be here before we know it and if you are taking a winter Walt Disney World trip, it’s already time to start planning. Don’t forget to reserve special tickets and carve out time for Christmas festivities before it’s too late. Here is a glimpse at all of the 2019 Christmas season magic at Walt Disney World. What To Expect: Disney World 2019 Christmas season
Magic Kingdom
The biggest Christmas party of the year is happening again in Magic Kingdom for 2019. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will once again headline all of the festivities for the Disney World 2019 Christmas season. Among the entertainment, festive foods, and character meet and greets, will be a brand new holiday fireworks spectacular. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party will be at Tomorrowland Terrace again and feature a buffet of holiday cupcakes, seasonal fruit, cheese, and special drinks.
Epcot
The international celebrations of Christmas and other winter holidays make the Festival of the Holidays a joyous event. Unlike the extra charge for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Festival of the Holidays is free with admission, although you can pay for extra parties and events during the festival. Epcot will also be hosting the Candlelight Processional once again this year with a choir and orchestra supplementing the biblical story of Christmas as read by a celebrity narrator.
Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios packs the night with two big Christmas Spectaculars. Jingle Bell Jingle Bam! occurs on the Chinese Theater and Sunset Seasons Greetings occurs on Sunset. Boulevard with the Tower of Terror transformed by State of the art projection mapping. As part of the evening magic, it Snows along the street. You will also find Christmas decor and merriment at Toy Story Land!
Animal Kingdom
Discovery Island will feature gorgeous lights at night and arctic puppets during the day for the 2019 Christmas season. The Tree of Life will also have a New Awakenings projection show featuring winter stories and new music. Donald, Chip and Dale are going to celebrate the season with a new Dance Party, and finally, you can celebrate the Earth holiday with expats in Pandora at the Pongu Pongu drink bar.
Around the Resort
Throughout Walt Disney World there are three year-round Christmas Stores to shop in. Ye Olde Christmas Shop is found in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. The first guests in the store usually get to decorate a tree. There is also a Christmas Store in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot. The biggest year-round Christmas store is Days of Christmas on the Marketplace side of Disney Springs.
Disney Springs also has a popular Christmas Tree Trail that grows every year. The impressively decorated trees are placed along your walk for a scenic self-guided tour. Each tree has a theme and they are really fun to see.
Deluxe Resorts Lobbies are also decked with Yuletide cheer every Christmas season. Besides Garland and Christmas Trees, you will see huge gingerbread displays and find delicious seasonal treats. Among the most decked out resorts are Grand Floridian, Yacht Club, Boardwalk Inn and Wilderness Lodge.
